Damn, that was kind of an intense battle between Ice & Fire, actually pretty entertaining seeing the visuals of what it feels like or would be like between the Ice & Fire clash of resistance as each side grows in power. Bravo!!

It's funny, most people think that fire and ice dont correlate. But ice is made by making very cold water, and something only becomes cold by the "absence of heat". Much like giving ice heat, it becomes water, keep heating and water becomes steam. They naturally cooperate with each other. But hey, most fantasy worlds throw science and logic out the window anyway.
Oh, and just a dark thought that most people will hate. What if MC channeling his extreme hot and cold energy every day and night was actually what was killing the cook? Especially if he was a normal person. Some stories have gimmicks about constant exposure to high concentrations of magic being poisonous to normal people. Often why magic sects and wizard towers are off the beaten path from common folk.
